Television Commercial work
Mithra Weerakone has directed Television commercials from late 1980's till recent. These productions were executed for almost all advertising agencies in Sri Lanka.
Being a Srilankan the commercials were more inclined to the srilankan audience. The commercial scripts were well read and the experience of over a 1000 TV commercials were the hallmark of a success rate that hardly ever call for re shoots. The Clients were given the best product message while with coordinating with script writes and sharing the experience to make the commercials work for the clients.
The photographic experience gives rise to the precise moments freeze where the expression is captured of the actors who are newcomers to the field. This save time in shooting over and over again. Another advantage being a photographer is that the camera controls of shallow to deep depth of field, the tele and wide angle knowledge and the lighting which creates the images that move, gives an edge over others in the field. The production houses that his services called for was Tele-Cine and "the Wrap Factory" At present we can undertake any production be it Documentary or commercials. The Photographic book titled "Mine Eyes Have Seen" give you a glimpse of 60 years through the eyes of Dr M.S.Weerakone. His photography is in three segments. The early Black and White, Artistic Nude photography and Abstract Color.
Dr. Weerakone is a well known photographer in Sri Lanka and his photographs have being submitted in the International Year book consecutively for 5 years in the late 1950's. He is the patron of the Photograpahic Society of Sri Lanka and have being conferred fellowship from the National Photographic Art Society of Sri Lanka and fellowship of the Srilankan Institute of Photographers. In 2005 The National Photographers Association of Sri Lanka also conferred a Fellowship to Dr Weerakone. The Photographic society of Negombo also felicitated Dr. Weerakone at a ceremony in lieu of his contribution to photography from the pictureus town of Negombo. He also has being honoured Associate of the International Association of Photography.

Commercial Photography:
Product photography can be handled if a client can send his products via DHL to our office address and subsequently photographed on high res Raw. A jepg low res image can be sent via e-mail for approval before the final is deliverd via registered post or DHL as per the clients requirements.
pre requisists
1) Approval from client for the estimate of photography cost, handeling and postage.
2) Advance payment through bank transfer before shooting.
3) Return of product if needed and the cost approval.
4) Balance to be paid on e-mail final photo approval.

2) Open discussion on SKYP.
3) Approval of estimate and advance payment of production.
4) Low res commerical uploaded for viewing.
5) Approval and balnce invoice to be sent.

Cultural Tour
A Six day cultural tour. Visit Dambulla Rock cave temple, Sigiriya World Heritage site, Anuradhapura Ancient Ruins, Pollonnaruwa Ruins and Wild life park and Kandy Temple of the tooth botanical gardens Elephant ophanage and the beach resort of Negombo.
